Homely homemade

One of those days today. I don't feel like going out. Trying to keep it simple. I don't believe kids need a car ride and an organized activity nearly as much as we are led to believe...

Fruit and walnut bread. White and oat bread.

Sprouting our own mung beans. Seriously! What kind of hippy am I!!??

Making pop corn

Yum... And better than commerially bought chips!

Hey Messy,

Yes, I'm staying in today too - last day of holidays so after doing my morning shopping I am going to lounge in my jummies. Your bread looks magnificent. I bought a crusty loaf from this morning from the supermarket - would be so much better to bake myself. Oh well.

Hope all is well,

You seriously are "some kind of hippie" aren't you!? I love that you do your best to use natural, raw materials and recycle and reuse. Your son will grow up with a wealth of good habits and care about the world around him.

I totally agree that children don't get enough time to grow their imaginations. Too much organization in some lives.
