Fennel

Fennel. Drawn with Prismacolor pencils on A4 paper. I had to finish this one in a hurry. Its going in the chicken vege soup tonight. Its a long overdue birthday gift for someone special...but hey! "Handmade" often means "very late" when one has a toddler.

Your drawing skills are amazing. Please tell me that it has taken you years to hone your ability to draw and it didn't happen overnight.

My brother once failed an art exam because he ate the cucumber he was meant to be drawing. I'm glad your fennel made it into the soup once you finished.

It makes sense that someone with such a respect for and talent with food is able to weave magic when drawing it as well. Beautiful, Ms Messyfish!

that drawing is so realistic, very nice! I love your saying that "handmade often means very late". That made me laugh because, although I've never put it into those words, that is my life!

Oh my, this is an awesome drawing!!! So real...I could reach out and crunch into it! I know what you mean about late night activities when toddlers are around! Hope your soup will be a big hit with the birthday person!!!
