Sydney Botanical Gardens

A branch whose shape caught my eye
A Queensland Bottle Tree
Sydney harbour
I decided to visit the Botanic gardens and have a picnic with baby Messyfish. I did these quick ones, leaning on top of the pram. Baby Messyfish was happy looking around, and could not see that I was drawing. He did notice if I stopped pushing for too long, hence the very quick sketches. I added the colour after he went to sleep later in the evening.

Yeah good for you!!! to go on your artist adventure with lil Messyfish' before you know it he'll be doing his own drawing and you'll have more peace and time to sit and sketch, hims needs his own kiddy art supplies, soon as he can hold a crayon and realize it dosent taste good, he can dooooooooodle.
I LOVE THIS STYLE!

You sneaked these in during your walk? Wow, really great! Sometimes I think when we know we have to capture something, and we know we only have a few minutes to do so, the image is even more wondrous. Just the essence, ma'am, just the essence. These are beautiful!

What a fun visit and what a good illustration. I took photos of several trees while on vacation. I am going to illustrate them. I couldn't have made up their unusual shapes. I love trees.
