My Friend Mel

My wonderful friend Mel sent me a parcel through the mail. Oh how I love receiving things in the mail. I usually get bank statements and reminders to pay things...so this was a wonderful treat! She makes wonderful cards using 100% post consumer recycled paper, and I have been encouraging her to open an ETSY shop to sell some. If you go to her blog here you can see for yourself what a talented artist she is. She also sent me some elephant poo paper. Yes thats right! Its made from elephant poo! Good Hey? not from trees! I like that alot....
And of course her excellent sense of humour, a second hand book with gorgeous illustrations entitiled "All about Anna"...which of course it is! Isnt it?

What a great friend. Isn't snail mail, of the gift kind, just the most fun to receive.??!!

They should figure out how to make paper out of chicken and cattle poo. That would help the world a whole lot.

Thanks diana, and Lisa!
Oh and Flying colors Lisa...no cactuses this week. I am rebelling from commitment and responsibility! I went away on the weekend, and was too tired to do a cactus!! (i would love to lie, and say the cactus was in the book!?...)

Thanks for the Sara Midda tip, I have three of her books from around the time I was making those prints!
