Recycled T-Shirt

And me being Green continues....I recycled a T-Shirt that baby Messyfish outgrew. I made him some baby shoes using the pattern in the craft book called "Meet Me At Mikes", which I discovered through reading about it on the Blog. The base and back of the shoe is thick black polar fleece. Perfect for The Southern Highlands sandpits. I have made other baby shoes using the pattern, but this is the only photo I have. They are an excellent shoe. I used my printer to upsize the pattern, as my boy has big feet. I just discovered Mash Shoes whilst researching markets that I am going to do with my friend Mel in the spring. I think they use the same pattern. I want to make more now. Perhaps I should get off the computer??

They are darling. They would make good house slippers for adults too if you could up size them.

what a great idea. I don't know if you plan to sell them but I bet lots of people would be interested to buy recycled soft shoes for their babies and toddlers.

This really is green. Not only are you extending the life of the T-shirt, you're also buying less stuff. And the shoes are really cute!
