happy cactus monday on Tuesday

I was having too much fun on Monday, for a cactus post....It was  Mr Messyfish's first day of holidays for a month....I am making lots of sewing things, and the cake sales are really low! Yeah! what a great day it was.
Here is "Jeff Prickle" in flower. He flowered for only one day. Little messyfish squealed in delight when he saw it. I screamed NO! NO! as he went to grab it, because I HAD to photograph it for you cactus monday girls. I feel bad, because he jumped out of his skin with shock! Anyway, he played with it after I took these lovely pics. Now it is no longer :-(

Hi
WOW - I love Jeff Prickle. It's such a pretty flower, but only one day?? I enlarged the photo and can see the inside bit is really interesting, while the petals look so soft and delicate. What a great colour too. LOVE IT!

BTW, I googled but can't seem to find it. I wonder if I can find it locally, maybe in Bunnings...

LOL, Happy cactus, protea and bottlebrush monday AND TUESDAY! (I made a mistake with my link at Teri's but never mind!)

Have a good week, Evelyn

I'm amazed that those prickly plants put off such beautiful flowers. Would it have lasted a long time had little messyfish not messed with it? Or is it just one of those short-lived flowers?

Tee hee for buying the book. Hope you find lots of yummy things to make and grow from it.
I have a "book"-related post coming up ... I made the pearl barley and mushroom risotto. Not to my taste.
