Autumn celebration

To celebrate the end of the cake business and my weekends returned to us ( i had to bake on the weekends and it was shithouse)we had some friends around to celebrate. I am trying to eat seasonally and locally. This menus reflects that.

Homemade walnut rolls

Butternut pumpkin soup

Grapefruit avocado and watercress salad

Banana passionfruit pavlova ( not exactly seasonal but I needed to break faaaaaaar far far away from the cake baking mould)! Ideally I would have made an apple or pear something. Next weekend is mums birthday so I will save it for that!

No, I never got that far down my list today. One sick and my third eldest stepdaughter had her drink spiked and was in hospital all night. We only heard this morning and the rest of the day has been a juggle of making sure she's OK - she's pretty shaken - and getting ahead with meals and the like. So, long story short, thanks. We havea Riot here, so I will check those pencils out.
