This looks interesting! I keep wanting to do something similar that I saw where you drape crust into a pie pan, extending out for a few inches, fill and then fold the edges up to cover, except it would leave the middle 3 inches or so open! It looks like a pocket and is very pretty, especially if you did cherries or some darker fruit!
