Winter lanterns

Finally they are lit. I am still sourcing candle wicks and a local bees wax supplier. So I put tea lights in them while I wait.... Pretty huh!? ( made using all the few baby food jars we ever used. Rice paper painted with watercolors and guache. Cut into squares and glued on). Happy first days of the new season all! (its officially winter here). Here is more info on how to do these candle holders.

Catching up here. So much to see. We will have 100 degrees F. tomorrow. Winter long gone, as is Spring...Love the candles, bread, little guy and foods looking good, looking good.

What a great idea with the rice paper. Beautiful and lovely pics - also great to see someone else in winter!

These are beautiful. I'd love to try it with my little ones. Love your blog. Stopped by because you stopped by to see me. Looks like I'm going to be your newest follower :) Love your artwork, too.

I've enjoyed looking back and seeing what you've been up to. I especially like all your new drawings! I may have to join that challenge to get my butt in gear too!
