IF_Diary

I ride my bike a lot now I live on a big farm. Its so pleasant not having traffic to worry about. We often visit the river, or go looking for the cows. I did this using watercolours and ink. Little messyfish is pointing out the "waynebow"(rainbow).
Illustration Fridays challenge word this week is "Diary". My blog is a visual diary of my life. My high school art teacher always recommended that we draw something that is about ourselves (rather than say Pyramids etc) for the most effective art. I find it easier to do this too.

What a nice drawing depicting your day. I like the little animal in the base of the tree. It sounds like you got some good advise from your teacher.

I like this. You know, it is more interesting to see someones life pics too...or at least something someone has great interest in. Love your rainbow too!!!

Your art teacher knew the drill :) I think it's easier for us to draw things we know by heart..somehow the imagery produced is richer and filled with small cute details that only we know are there :) ( like yours)

I agree with your art teacher. As I have observed my little budding artists I noticed that they always draw or paint something thats part of their life. I think we can connect to our own art when we draw something we have emotional attachment to.

Love your drawing! Love all the vibrant colors. Love the happy, content look on your face. The bike basket is full of flowers and bread. Just perfect.

Pure delight! All the details -- the critters and the loaded basket.... This is wonderful! I tried to keep a written journal for my kids, but I find drawing pictures of events is more fun and memorable. Worth a thousand words, right?

This is lovely. How fab for a child to have such a beautiful keepsake, so much more vibrant than a photo.
