Big soft loaf of white bread. I bake everyday now. We haven't bought a loaf of bread for months. Wholemeal is the favourite. Going to add spelt and kamut to the mix soon. ( basic recipe on my "baking" page up top there)
I am enjoying baking being home now too, even though it is freakin SUMMER here!!! I think I must be crazy! The problem is that it is so hot out, just like in winter, you look for things to do inside! LOL. Looking forweard to fall.
Have you ever eaten Ezekiel bread, made with sprouts? I am sprouting seeds now, and it just came to me that maybe I coul dry them and add them to bread! Maybe...not sure. Will do some research.
Have you worked with Spelt before? My brother used to make all his bread since he has allergies. He found that Spelt dries out quickly, so you need to add more moisture to the mix to begin with and use it quickly. Tastes good though :)
I love making my own bread. I hate it when something upsets my routine and I feel I have to buy. I was totally converted to the idea after reading "Not on the Label" by Felicity Lawrence. Opened my eyes to commercial baking and what goes into the bread. Once read, not easy to shake away.
Have you used spelt flour before? My brother used to make all his own bread because he has allergies. He used spelt a lot. It does dry out more, so you need to compensate with more moisture in the mix (I think he increased the amount of water and oil???) It's yummy though :)
I just found your blog and just love all the wonderful photos of your bread and cooking mixed in with your drawings and art, little creatures that live there with you. All very lovely. I will save the link to your blog. I know that it's a struggle to find time to create with a toddler. Just do it when you can, I read your profile that your a pisces just like me and if our traits are piscean and alike we have to create it's a need not just a want. Ok I have a blog too, I haven't kept up with it as much as I'd like but I have alot of images and art there. Hope you check it out. Take care and keep up the great work.

Your two new ingredients sound interesting.

Oh dear it's late and I must be way tired, I forgot to put the address to my blog. Thesearedbluehaircomment.blogspot.com
Yum! I wish I could be organised enough to bake every day, lately it's about once a week. Your bread looks delicious:)
Me, too, I wish I could bake everyday. I love the smell of freshly baked bread (who doesn't, right). Your loaf looks heavenly.
