Letting go

Letting the paper boats we made float on the river. Building sandcastles and knocking them down again. Letting the cicada fly... No need for bug houses yet thank god!
Letting go of my creative solitude. Choosing to sleep rather than craft. Everyone is better off. Mummy messyfish isn't good when she is tired. Perhaps I will get an hour tomorrow morning when mr messyfish has the morning home from work.
Cherishing the pre school years....

When I was a little older than LMF I would tie thread to the leg of a June bug and let it fly in circles. I thought it was a hoot. He is having the time of his life. Try to get some rest.

We used to fly cicadas around the neighborhood. One boy would try string around thir heads at the "neck" joint, and we would hold the end of the string and "fly" them. It was a hoot, although probably very inhumane.
