Late summer

A cold snap makes me feel autumn early. I am thinking about lighting the fire...

Thanks to this lovely pollen laden bee.
Silverbeet, Vietnamese mint, Thai basil, lemongrass, ox heart tomatoes, bullhorn chillis hanging put happily together.

Success! Zillions of pumpkins growing happily.

The pumpkins have taken over triffids style. Now I just need to keep mr messyfish out of there. His "organizing" has meant the death of at least 3 pumpkins. Some people! I guess the "mixed" vege garden that does not have neat rows can be a little frustrating to some... We have lost a few tomatoes to the mice. But hey.. They have to eat too right?

I love having my garden mixed with various vegies and flowers. I learned something new the other day...my Mom told me that my grandma (her Mom, who was a farmer/gardener) always planted her gardens like that!!! I felt so proud that I took after her in that way! I think it's a very artsy way!!!

Your garden looks nice to me. You have a good variety of veggies. It is almost like spring here today.
