I needle felted this little gnome using 100% wool. I was inspired by our early morning frosts. He has a big white frosty cover of a coat on. His green body is the colour of the paddocks that are covered by the frost. I have added a pale yellow sun to his body and a pale blue swirl of the sky to his hat. Happy winter from the southern highlands nsw Australia! For lots of lovely natural crafty goodness that is often Steiner (Waldorf) influenced check out The Magic Onions

Oh my goodness! He is gorgeous. Almost makes me wish it was winter over here and that is saying something.
Oh my this guy is so handsome. He has such a wise looking face. Love the beard and white hair too.
I adore your gnome! Thanks for popping over- how do you make fruit straps?
He turned out wonderful!
he is perfect - just like outside our window! the pale sun just tops it off for me. Well done a beautiful creation. i love your wooden disk as well - is that just a cut disk or have you added cuts or shape?
I love all the little details! This is something I should probably try...

Lovely...:)
No I haven't seen Evil Dead but my older brother did years ago and I remember him telling me the gory details of the movie....LOL.
I never think of Australia as getting cold, but I know it does. Kangaroos and cold don't seem to go together. Your frost gnome is very cute!
:D Beautiful King Winter Gnome!
What a gorgeous gnome!!! He is just perfect! I somehow missed this post and just happened to see it here when I came for your most recent post! I was wondering why I hadn't seen you in a while, and was planning to just come and say hi anyway.....great job with this! I am gonna send my friend Mary, who also felts, over to see this guy! Take care Messyfish!!!
Oh he is so wonderful and wintery! (Not that I am wishing for frost though!)
