Extended breastfeeding.

Taking some time out by the natural spring. A bit of light reading and sketching on a glorious spring day. The good news is that I am breastfeeding little messyfish again. I am a "extended breastfeeding mum" after all. Phew.... Now we are all happy again. My lesson has been to reach out for support in the places that support my ideals. My mistake was to ask for help in mainstream... Despite the fact that my chosen parenting style is far from mainstream! The internal conflict was intense, and now there is relief for all.

This too shall pass. All will be well and good. You will know when the time is right.

I'm glad you are both happy, it really is such a personal decision. One that both you and your wee man have to be happy with. I'm glad you got some help that was supportive and fits with your ideals, it isn't always easy to find! Vic xx

Curious was there a long break in time when you stopped breast feeding and if so how were you able to start it up again???

Thanks Lisa, Thanks Vic :-) xxx
Hi Lynne, it was only for 5 days. Lucky I did start again, I was well on the way to mastitis. I dont recommend old male doctors for info on breast feeding!!!!

I'm happy it works for you. I couldn't stand getting bit! Both mine quit at about 11 months - painful for me to keep getting chomped!
