Quiet time. Homely goodness.

Quiet day in. Little messyfish needs some time to play creatively (he let me know...first by saying he didn't want to go out, secondly by having a few meltdowns...now he knows its definite, we are staying in, he has been happily playing independently). No car rides, no foods with additives, no loud noises, colours, people or actions. Playing in his undies. We made a zucchini bread from Molly katzens Enchanted broccoli forest cookbook. He has been playing with his playcloths, sorting big piles of handmade beads from India (thanks mr messyfish!) and watching the rain fall. I have been doing pastel abstracts. Peace in the country. Vege garden loves the rain. Soft quiet rain.

Oh, I am glad to find your blog via The Magic Onions. Your post is a lovely reminder for me to be still and listen to my children's needs by observing their behavior. I'm thinking we are due for a quiet day at home soon.

Lovely! Brings back cozy memories of when my own boys were tinies (now they are teens!) Enjoy!

Your veg garden appears to have grown in leaps and bounds like LMF. I really like the sketch.
